Covington - Mrs. Bertha Elizabeth Crumley, 60, former Gessie resident, died at 11 p.m. Friday (Jan. 19, 1951) at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Mona Durbin of Piqua, Ohio. She had made her home there the past five years. Mrs. Crumley was born Nov. 13, 1890 near Gessie the daughter of Philander and Anna Elizabeth Fox Goff. She was married to Monroe Crumley. Surviving are a son, Dwight of Buchanan, Mich.; a daughter, Mrs. Durbin with whom she made her home; three sisters, Mrs. Flora Reynolds of Muskegon, Mich., Mrs. Lillian Baker of Palm Beach, Fla., Mrs. Evea Hicks of Perrysville; three brothers, Lewis Goff of Palm Beach, Fla., John Goff of Perrysville, Stilman Goff of Rockville, and five grandchildren. The body arrived at the Bodine & Shelby Funeral Home Saturday afternoon where it will remain for services at 10 a.m. Monday. The Rev. Mr. Eirhart of Greencastle will officiate. Burial will be in Hopewell Cemetery.
